The F1.09 is the car that will make or break BMW Sauber's claim to be a serious frontrunning force. Team boss Mario Theissen has never hid his ambitions and has made it clear that 2009 is about a title push. Fighting words from a team with one grand prix win to its credit.

There are reasons for backing the F1.09 to deliver. It has looked decent in testing, and has benefited from a long gestation period - this was the car, remember, that BMW opted to throw its resources behind at the expense of Robert Kubica's title tilt. The team is also thought to be further advanced with its KERS than anyone else.
