Kimi Raikkonen faces a crunch year if he is not going to see his F1 career begin downward momentum. His title defence in 2008 was a disappointment, as he struggled with the handling of the F2008, and he knows he must do better this time out if team-mate Felipe Massa is not going to gain the upper hand at the team.

But the new championship rules could suit Raikkonen, who let's not forget won as many races as eventual 2005 champion Fernando Alonso that year. And the Finn has already spoken of how much happier he is with the dimensions of the '09 car and the new slick tyres.
