Sebastien Bourdais had to wait a long time to help secure his F1 future, but the Frenchman now has a golden opportunity to deliver on the flashes of promise he showed during a difficult debut season in 2008.

He could never get to grips with the handling of last year's STR3, and that left him unable to deliver the kind of form that helped him capture multiple ChampCar titles. The team kept its faith, though, and if he can get tuned into the STR4 from the off then he could quickly establish himself as the team leader.
