Kazuki Nakajima arrived in Formula 1 thanks to Toyota's young driver programme, but he proved himself to be quite a useful points gatherer last year. One of the fittest men out there, he struggled initially to get qualifying performance out of the car and tyres - but on Sundays he was able to keep a clean nose most of the time to bring home valuable points for Williams.
Quiet and unassuming, he does not have the star quality of many of his rivals, but he will need to step up his game in 2009 to go from points to podiums to prove he is worthy of a drive with a top team.
